At Maei.ai, we believe one of the most essential yet overlooked dimensions of human life is motion through space and time.
San Francisco, September 2025 — At Maei.ai, we believe one of the most essential yet overlooked dimensions of human life is motion through space and time. For more than eight billion people on this planet, mobility remains a daily challenge. We move ourselves, we move goods, we move information—and yet the systems guiding these motions are still rooted in incremental improvements, not fundamental breakthroughs.
Despite decades of effort, most advances in mobility have focused on narrow optimizations: slightly faster routing, marginally improved logistics, attribute-level refinements. These are important, but they fail to address the larger human problem: how we model and understand motion itself.
Motion is not a commodity. It is a modality of being human. And it is long overdue for reinvention.
Beyond Routing: Toward Contextual Motion Models
Traditional routing engines are built around attributes: shortest path, least fuel, minimal time. But humans and systems move with intent—with context, constraints, and priorities that are invisible to today's models.
This is where Maei.ai takes a fundamentally different approach. At our core are embeddings derived from advanced data models of motion. These embeddings do more than compute a path; they encode the deeper relationships between people, goods, geographies, and time. They allow us to understand motion as a contextual, dynamic process, not a static calculation.
By building these embeddings, we enable routing and planning models that adapt to intent, optimize for experience, and unlock efficiencies previously hidden in the complexity of real-world mobility.
The Maei.ai Infrastructure
We are building the infrastructure that will power the next generation of mobility intelligence:
Annotation Services
High-quality, AI-ready annotations produced both algorithmically and through curated mapping partners. These services provide the foundation for advanced AI systems to reason about motion with nuance.
Embeddings from Data Models
Proprietary embeddings tailored to client needs, built from Maei.ai's deep expertise in motion and mobility data. These embeddings flow seamlessly into client systems or into Maei.ai's hosted environments.
Private Routing APIs
Contextual routing and planning systems hosted within Maei.ai's infrastructure. These private APIs leverage private embeddings, enabling secure, differentiated, and intent-aware mobility solutions at scale.
Why This Matters
The impact of rethinking motion is profound. Every second saved, every inefficiency removed, every emission reduced scales exponentially when multiplied across billions of people and millions of supply chains.
For individuals, this means time reclaimed and frustration avoided.
For businesses, it means greater efficiency and resiliency in logistics and planning.
For society, it means decarbonization and economic gain at a planetary scale.
Our Vision
Maei.ai exists to build elegant, simple, and differentiated models of motion through space and time. We serve logistics providers, infrastructure planners, and everyday travelers—always with the conviction that mobility is more than a technical problem. It is a human problem with human consequences.
By advancing how motion is modeled, embedded, and delivered, we are opening the door to a future where mobility is more intelligent, more contextual, and more human-centered.
This is the mission of Maei.ai. And this is just the beginning.
